Emergency Shelter and Supported Housing - For Women With Addictions and/or at Risk of Homelessness

Elizabeth Fry Society housing programs help women break the cycle of poverty, addiction, mental illness, homelessness, and crime.
Rosewood Shelter:
Located in Surrey, the new Rosewood Building offers 60 shelter beds for women and children. Awake support workers provide 24/7 on-site support and manage the hotel units, assisting residents with immediate crisis needs and housing planning. Meal support and laundry services are provided to women residents.

Elizabeth Gurney House:
Located in New Westminster, Elizabeth Gurney House is a temporary shelter home for up to 12 homeless women and their children. Awake support workers provide 24/7 on-site support and manage the facility, assisting residents with immediate crisis needs and housing planning. Staff and residents participate in the day-to-day tasks involved in communal living.

Sequoia at Firth Residences:
Located in Abbotsford, Sequoia at Firth Residence is a provincially specialized substance use treatment program for adult self-identifying women (19+) with severe and high-risk substance use disorders, who may also have a mild to moderate, stabilized mental health condition. This evidence-based 90-day program promotes individual strengths and supports participants in identifying goals that foster wellness across multiple areas of life. A multidisciplinary team of clinical counsellors, mental health professionals, nurses, a physician, cooks, and an Indigenous Elder provides comprehensive support as participants work toward wellness. Pathways Housing:
Through Pathways, EFry provides semi-independent, small apartments for women without resources or are in transition to independent living.
