LGBT2Q+ Community and Mental Health - Adult & Senior

Sources offers individual, couples, family and group counselling for:
- Parenting
- Relationships
- Separation or divorce
- Workplace issues
- Substance abuse
- Anger management
- Historical trauma
- Grief and loss
- Depression
- Stress and anxiety
- Lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered issues
- Family concerns
Sources Counselling Services is a fee-for-service program, with subsidy provided through Sources Foundation and donations. Counselling can be covered through some extended medical plans or specialized funding programs (please inquire).In addition, SOURCES is a partner of the WRSS Primary Care Network. Family doctors and specialists who are a part of the White Rock/South Surrey Primary Care Network, may refer patients to Sources Counselling to receive up to eight (8) funded sessions. The eligibility criteria for 8 sessions free:
- Referred by a physician that is a member of the White Rock South Surrey Division of Family Practice
- Does not have Employee Assistance Program or Extended Medical Coverage
- Having to pay is a barrier to accessing counselling
- No active litigation including ICBC/WCB/MCFD
- Not in need of urgent psychiatric or mental health intervention
- Not currently involved in FH Community Mental Health & Substance Use services or Children & Youth MH programs
Limited number of "in person' sessions available but that can be a longer wait. Virtual services (phone and video options) have a shorter wait.
