Youth Outreach Services
Food, Mental Health - Child & Youth, Services for Youth, and Social / Recreational
Provided by Youth Unlimited
- Innovative Drop-in Centres: A safe space for youth to hang out while getting encouragement and support for safer and healthier life choices from dedicated staff and volunteers.
- Meals and Emergency Relief: Provide much-needed nutritious meals — most often in a family-style setting. This meets not only a key physical need but critical communal and familial support as well.
- Systemic Vulnerability Support: Provides support to youth aging out of foster care, those released from juvenile detention centers, those affected by or in danger of sex trafficking, and those involved in gang activity or at risk of gang recruitment.
- Development Program and Clubs: Offers a variety of programs and clubs, with over 30+ different offerings. Many programs are connected to schools or churches — like coaching, after school programs or youth group partnerships — while others are developed “in-house” with emphasis on the creative, athletics, spiritual development, outdoor adventure, life-skills development or discussions.
- Trips, Events, International Ministries: For youth whose parents don’t have the means, time, experience or healthy interest in their child. One-time or on-going events provide access to experiences that many kids aren’t getting. They also provide an opportunity for mentorship with staff and volunteers and a safe place to socialize with peers from all walks of life.
- Leadership Development: Numerous programs provide youth with introductory leadership development in countless fields and hobbies.
