The Plot Community Garden - Surrey (Newton)

Provided by The People’s Food Security Bureau

Large community garden run by volunteers
Community garden run by volunteers. FREE to all the community. The garden is anchored by the Newton Medicine Wheel, which creates a physical, cultural and spiritual context for personal and community healing. Free healthy food, weekly work parties and Sunday Picnics, plus universal indigenous solstice/equinox celebrations engage a very diverse neighbourhood. Wonderful and unexpected connections are made between those of all ages, stages and stations in life – young, elderly, families, long-time residents, newcomers, immigrants, refugees, those with means, those without (including the homeless and those with substance abuse and mental health challenges).
